Overview
LUCID is a contemporary dance film that explores the fragile space between memory and presence. Through movement, stillness, and breath, the work examines how the body holds emotion long after the mind has moved on. The film unfolds as a quiet journey of transformation, inviting the viewer into moments of vulnerability, resistance, and release.

About the Work
LUCID was created as an intimate, camera-led performance where choreography and cinematography move as one. Rather than relying on narrative structure, the work uses physical expression to suggest emotional states — tension, remembrance, clarity, and letting go.
Movement is deliberately restrained, allowing subtle gestures and pauses to carry meaning. The camera stays close, capturing breath, shifts in weight, and fleeting expressions that might be lost on stage. The result is a work that feels personal and immediate, designed to be experienced rather than explained.

My Role
As the lead performer, I collaborated closely with the director to shape the physical language of the film. I developed movement phrases that responded to the emotional arc of the piece, focusing on restraint, clarity, and presence. Throughout the process, I worked with the camera as an active partner, adjusting timing, scale, and intensity to suit the intimacy of the lens.
